Viewings & appointments
Can I try and collect my chosen guitar in person?
Of course — if you're seriously interested you're welcome to try it here, but only by arrangement, as we don't run a walk-in shop. Appointments run to 45 minutes, so please turn up on time. You can pay in cash on the day.
What are your opening hours?
Flexible — there simply aren't any, because this isn't a walk-in shop. We'll sort out a time with you by e-mail or phone.
Can I compare several of the listed guitars side by side?
Yes, if you let us know beforehand. Most of the instruments are stored off site, so we'll need to agree which guitars to have ready before you come.
Purchase & payment
What do I need to do if I want to buy one or more guitars?
Drop us an e-mail at Info@MeisterEdeGuitars.com with the instrument and how you'd like to pay. We'll send the invoice and then get in touch to sort out collection or shipping.
How can I pay?
Cash on handover or bank transfer in advance. PayPal is only possible in exceptional cases and by prior arrangement, and we can't take cards. The guitar goes out — or goes home with you — once payment has cleared in full.
Can I reserve a guitar until I have the money together?
Only in exceptional cases and by individual arrangement. Just get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Are your prices negotiable?
We price keenly from the start so the figure you see is already a good one. So no, they're fixed — plus shipping costs if we send it to you.
Shipping & returns
How long does it take for an ordered guitar to arrive?
Within Germany, the guitar usually reaches you within 7 working days of payment clearing, shipped with DHL. For deliveries to other EU countries, we'll give you the delivery time in our offer.
Can I return a guitar if I don't like it?
If you're a private customer buying by mail order, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the guitar. Just e-mail us — you don't need to give a reason. You cover the cost of shipping both ways, and the return has to be insured. Any shipping costs already agreed are deducted from the refund.
Is your shipping packaging licensed?
Yes. We're registered with LUCID, the German packaging register (registration number DE3477438242014), and our shipping packaging is licensed. We often reuse the manufacturers' original shipping boxes for this.
Trade-ins & selling to us
Can I trade in my guitar?
Yes — if it's a high-quality instrument that fits how we work, we'll gladly take a closer look. Get in touch first, then send photos and what you're hoping to get by e-mail. Do bear in mind that we're buying at trade prices here.
Can you buy my guitar or my collection?
Gladly — if it fits how we work, send us photos and details along with what you're hoping to get. We also take instruments on commission, so just ask.
Prices, tax & invoices
Can I deduct the purchase for tax purposes?
That's one for your accountant, not us. We'll provide a proper invoice either way.
Do your invoices show VAT separately?
It depends on the instrument. We sell most used instruments under the margin scheme (Section 25a of the German VAT Act), so no VAT is shown on the invoice. New instruments and some used ones are sold under standard taxation, and we show 19 % VAT on the invoice. You'll find the tax status right next to the price of every instrument.
