We've finally got another semi-hollow Opus Evo in, and this one's fully loaded — close to the new Meister Ede Signature Semi-Opus. We're an official Limitless Custom Guitars dealer and can place custom orders for you, but if you'd rather not wait months, here's a very well-specified example you can have now, and for less.
Anyone who has followed the story between Meister Ede and Limitless will know the Opus Evo is Ede's main instrument. All those gigs led to a wish for something lighter, and the semi-hollow version was the result — great looking, and built from the best parts throughout.
The timber isn't just nice to look at. Well-seasoned wood tells in how the guitar resonates and how the note develops. Carsten has set off the lightweight Honduras mahogany body in a charming aged “Old Gold”, and the fine crackle is subtle enough that you see more or less of it depending on the angle, exactly like a genuinely old instrument.
It sounds as good unplugged as it looks. To get that across at the amp, Carsten fitted a Häussel HB 1959 set, splittable via push/pull and very musical when you do. The neck pickup is woody and creamy at once and sits perfectly against the open, forceful bridge. Each pickup has its own volume, and the tone control only affects the bridge — just as Ede likes it, so the neck pickup can give you everything it's got.
All told it's a fantastic guitar with plenty of dynamics and that woody tone people look for, plus the percussive edge of a semi-hollow. To get there, Carsten placed the chambers deliberately, which sharpens the response even further. With the lightweight timber it comes to a comfortable 3.4 kg including the tremolo.
The Göldo LT1 tremolo holds tuning over a wide range without any Floyd-style locking, and it can be converted to a stoptail without much trouble. The neck is carbon-reinforced for stability in awkward conditions, and the custom medium C is one you simply have to play — it's extremely comfortable. The 10"–14" compound board is a pleasure.
The Opus Evo is fairly described as the top model at Limitless. Ede has given this one a thorough live test; it was essentially one of the prototypes for the current Meister Ede Signature Gold Sparkle Semi-Hollow Opus Evo. It was €5,290 in 2025, and the base price is now €5,490. As-new from single ownership, sold on behalf of its owner.
