Sold on behalf of a customer: a fully specified Iconic Guitars T-style from single ownership.
We've been watching the work coming out of Iconic Guitars in California with a good deal of enthusiasm for a while. When Fender masterbuilt guru John Cruz built a series for them, it became clear what this small but serious boutique shop is aiming at. Through good contacts we can now offer a rather fascinating 2026 Iconic Guitars Tamarack in Trans Silver Pearl with a swamp ash body, from single ownership.
Start with the looks. The transparent Silver Pearl nitro sits wafer-thin on the selected swamp ash and photos barely do it justice. Add the grain of the ash and the body alone is worth looking at. The 5A roasted flamed maple neck with mother-of-pearl block inlays tops it off — a medium V rolling into a C, a modern 9.5"–12" compound radius and 22 stainless frets.
Total weight is a relaxed 3.02 kg, and playing it unplugged tells you this wasn't only about the looks. Neck and body together give a loud fundamental with twang and a good deal of push behind it, thanks to that selected swamp ash.
Carrying all that to the amp are Seymour Duncan Psyclones — Duncan's very good homage to the legendary Gretsch Filter'Tron sound of the 50s and 60s. You get the quiet of a humbucker with the spark, airy twang and percussive snap of a great single coil. Clean, the Psyclone gives glass-clear note separation with bell-like highs that never turn sharp. Bring in some overdrive and out comes that throaty, raspy midrange growl — very tight in the bass and wonderfully dynamic. An extremely musical pickup, and an addictive one.
Iconic have done a very good job here, and the package is right too, with gig bag, spec sheet and certificate. Work through the detailed options list and, with import costs, you arrive at a new price of a good €5,800. Here it is far more relaxed and considerably cheaper, available now. Condition is very well kept and it's only a few months old; there's one small ding on the lower side, which we've reflected generously in the price.
