Novo Miris JHH Custom Dealer LTD Cat's Eye Burst Flamed Maple Top (2026, new)

`26 Novo Miris JHH Custom Dealer LTD Cat's Eye Burst, new, flamed maple top, semi-hollow, Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers, Mastery vibrato, only 3.23 kg and more.

You don't get to see a top like this every day!

With the Miris JHH Dealer LTD, Novo Guitars in Nashville created a limited special series that is only available through selected dealers. It is based on the Miris J, Novo's semi-hollow model with its distinctive, curved sound hole. The Dealer LTD version adds its own touches, though: a flamed maple top of Eastern curly maple, a "chopped" pickguard with a metal control plate and the Novo logo badge on the upper horn.

That badge is more than just decoration: on the regular Miris models, this is where the toggle switch sits. On the Dealer LTD, it has moved to the pickguard, right next to the neck pickup – so it sits within easy reach of your picking hand. If you like to switch pickups quickly, you'll appreciate it.

The real highlight of this example, however, is the top: through our good contacts we were able to secure a Miris JHH with an exceptionally heavily flamed maple top. Not every example of the Dealer LTD series has such a beautiful top. Under the Cat's Eye Burst – a shimmering green burst that fades to black towards the edges – the flame jumps out three-dimensionally as the light changes. Contrasting with it are the swamp ash body with amber back & sides and the white binding on body and neck. A real eye-catcher!

Beyond the stunning looks, this Miris is above all a very resonant guitar. Even played unplugged you can clearly feel it vibrate; notes bloom and sustain for a long time.

Another special feature of this model is the pair of humbuckers: compared with the P90 Miris models it is hum-free, yet it still has an open basic character in its tone. That's down to the Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers, which are deliberately wound a little weaker. They sound clear, airy and dynamic, let every string in a chord ring through, and the semi-hollow body adds a nice dose of warmth and depth. Sparkling clean, with plenty of bite and cut when driven.

Playability comes courtesy of a tempered maple neck with a comfortable medium C profile (.830"), an East Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5"–14" compound radius and medium Jescar frets. A real gem are the large MOTO block inlays, which together with the white neck binding and the black headstock create an elegant vintage look. Add to that the Mastery M1 bridge & NV vibrato with lightning bolt arm for subtle vibrato effects.

The light distress ageing is as lovingly detailed as ever: the odd ding on the edges and fine crackles in the finish, especially nice to see on the back. At only 3.23 kg, this Miris is a lovely, light example.

It comes in the Novo Deluxe padded soft case with spec sheet, Novo certificate card, Mastery manual and case candy, as pictured.
