What marks out the 2026 Dealer Limited Edition is the colour-over-colour finish: Bull Black over a '64 3-tone burst in a medium distress relic, with beautifully aged nitro and the classic burst showing through in the right places. Charming Dumble knobs finish the look.

Sound-wise, this Serus J is a fascinating mix of vintage character and modern cut. The tempered pine body gives it a very fast response. There's a woody, percussive edge to the attack, much like a well-played old Strat or Tele, but the top end stays rounder and more transparent. The two Fralin P-90s work perfectly with the selected timber.

At the neck they give a big, smacky tone with a bell-clear top end. The bridge brings that raspy P-90 growl with present upper mids, and it plays beautifully with overdrive and fuzz. The middle position gives bell-like sounds with plenty of twang, the same fast response and that woody core — all of it at just 3.26 kg.

The rock-solid Mastery M1 bridge and NV vibrato with its distinctive lightning bolt arm handles everything from gentle Bigsby and Jazzmaster shimmer to Floyd-style dive bombs.
