Rock 'n' Roll Relics 2023 Revenge Aged Full Korina

A high-end boutique piece with L.A. rock'n'roll flavour.

Meister Ede had been after a good example of the Rock 'n' Roll Relics Revenge for a while. After a long search he found this one from single ownership — and it's got his dream spec on top: full korina, block inlays and a beautiful ebony fretboard. This one-off was ordered in the USA and imported.

These guitars carry a signature of their own and offer genuine vintage feel at a very high standard, with that L.A. rock'n'roll flavour. Ede is an avowed korina fan; the midrange gives it a character all its own. On Les Paul-style guitars in particular you get a balanced mix of push and woody tone, perfect for driven sounds from blues to hard rock without ever turning stuffy or flat.

The ageing's been done with real care. Look at those very fine checking lines and the shades within it. There's no sticky neck back here — everything is built for a properly broken-in vintage feel without ignoring contemporary playability. Grippy, perfectly dressed frets and a substantial but nicely rounded 50s neck profile (12" radius) are paired with stable Ratio tuners and a TonePros bridge. Selected timber brings this lovely thing down to a light 3.62 kg.

These guitars play in the boutique top flight and don't have anything to hide from considerably more expensive Gibsons. This one will now be seen and heard on plenty of stages with Meister Ede.
