This is a brand-new Suwak S-style in a timeless relic Fiesta Red, with great features, a comfortable weight and plenty of tone. The Fiesta Red went on as classic nitro and was then relic'd — no overdone damage, just a coherent whole: a web of very fine crackle across the body giving it a charming vintage look.

The body is two-piece selected red alder. For the neck the choice was a beautifully figured 3A flamed maple, and the flame gives the guitar a classy edge. A nicely dark East Indian rosewood board finishes the picture. The substantial fat “C” fills your hand perfectly and transfers vibration well. Combined with a modern 12" radius and grippy jumbo frets, this thing plays extremely fluidly.

And it sounds every bit as good as it looks. With the proven Häussel St. Classic single coils it gives you that bell-clear, woody vintage Strat tone at the amp. Thanks to the treble bleed on the volume control, it stays transparent as you turn down. Weight is a nicely balanced 3.4 kg.

The real highlight is the discreet mini toggle, which turns this Strat into a genuine chameleon. In the neck position it adds the bridge pickup, giving you that legendary, percussive Telecaster quack. In the first in-between position all three single coils run at once for a fantastic sense of space and density.
