An elegant boutique thinline, handmade in Germany, with something extra about it.
Suwak Custom Guitars are built by hand by Kawus Adni-Azar from the finest timber, and their standing in the boutique scene keeps growing. We're an official dealer for these instruments and work closely with Kawus to plan one-off builds for our customers. We're pleased to say we can offer exclusive custom models from them here.
This is a beautiful thinline T-style in a light relic Vintage White nitro that shows off the grain of the selected timber nicely. The neck is a substantial “fat D” in heavily flamed maple with jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius for comfortable playing and a full tone, and it's had the oil and wax treatment. A smart ziricote fretboard completes the picture.
The body is ash, bookmatched. At 3.39 kg the Suwak T hangs very comfortably on a strap while still giving you plenty of resonance from both body and neck. Well-seasoned timber and the thinline construction make a very lively foundation for first-class Telecaster sounds with a thinline character, and without losing any push or power.
The slightly hotter-wound NoWaxx single coil at the bridge carries that character to the amp, while the P-90 at the neck offers something warmer. In the middle position and at the neck on its own it comes into its own, with a warm but always clear core tone. Note the lovely ziricote P-90 cover too. Masterbuilt work, handmade in Germany, at a very fair price.
